Durante la Repubblica sociale italiana il ministro dell’Educazione nazionale Carlo Alberto Biggini adottò una politica di moderazione e pacificazione. Volle anche che i programmi scolastici fossero privati di ogni contenuto politico, ma provocò per questo le reazioni dei fascisti più estremisti. L’autore ricostruisce quanto avvenne in un liceo del Piemonte dove un apprezzato insegnante di storia e filosofia, che sino ad allora non aveva ricoperto incarichi importanti nel regime, scelse di esporsi personalmente e divenne un acceso propagandista. Prima della fine della guerra fu ucciso dai partigiani.
During the Italian social republic the Minister of National Education Carlo Alberto Biggini adopted a policy of moderation and pacification. He also wanted school programs to be deprived of all political content, but caused the reactions of the most extremist fascists. The author reconstructs what happened in a high school in Piedmont where a respected teacher of history and philosophy, who until then had not held important positions in the regime, chose to expose himself and became a hot propagandist. Before the end of the war he was killed by the partisans.
